Foundshore and this policy

This policy covers Foundshore’s public website, app and administrative services. Foundshore brings together startup directories, cofounder matching, mentor conversations, resources, events and partner offers. External organizers and benefit providers operate their own services and have their own privacy notices.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we process your email address, authentication details and the account information you provide. If you build a founder, mentor or startup profile, we process the profile, preferences, applications and materials you choose to submit.

Using the workspace can create saved records, private notes, connections, consent choices, event interests and benefit redemption records. Messages submitted through the contact form include the name, email and message you enter.

Our startup directories also contain source-attributed information about investors, accelerators, organizations and other providers. A directory listing is not a verified platform membership. Hosting and security systems may process request times, browser or device information, network addresses and error records to operate and protect the service.

Why we use information

We use account information to authenticate you, maintain your workspace and apply the access permissions you hold. Profile and application information helps us review participation in Connect and provide the matching and mentor features you choose to use.

Saved records, notes and preferences support your own workspace. Contact details help us respond to your request. Security and operational information supports abuse prevention, troubleshooting and reliable service. Payment or membership status is used to determine the access attached to an account; a manual access grant is not a statement that a payment was made.

What other people can see

Private project and account information is not automatically published on the public website. Founder profile visibility depends on the reviewed snapshot and the relevant Connect access rules. Review the consent and visibility controls before submitting a profile.

Accepting a connection does not automatically share every contact channel. Explicit contact grants can be revoked through the app. Public editorial articles, events and provider records are intended to be visible to website visitors. Do not put confidential information into a public field or a message you intend to share.

Service providers and external services

Foundshore uses service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, media delivery and communication. Cloudflare supports deployment and delivery; Supabase supports application authentication and data services. Staff access is limited by the relevant account and administrative permissions.

Event registration may be handled by Luma or another organizer-selected provider. Partner discounts are redeemed with the named provider. When you follow an external link or buy a ticket or subscription, that provider collects information under its own policies. Foundshore does not collect card details on its public event pages.

Where a billing option is enabled, payment processing is handled by the configured payment provider, and Foundshore stores the payment and subscription references needed to manage access. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation or to protect the service and its users.

Storage and retention

We retain information while it is needed to provide the features you use, maintain legitimate operational records and meet applicable obligations. Different records can have different retention needs; this policy does not promise a single fixed deletion period for every table or backup.

You can update or remove content through the controls available in your workspace and request account deletion. Some audit, security, billing or dispute records may need to be retained separately where permitted or required. Hosting and service providers may process data in countries other than your own.

Your choices and requests

Use Account & security to manage your account and available deletion controls. Review profile consent, matching preferences and contact grants to control what you share with other members.

You can ask Foundshore about access, correction, deletion or a copy of the personal information associated with your account. Depending on your location and the applicable rules, you may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing. Submit a request through the contact page, describe what you need and use the account email where possible. We may need to verify ownership before acting on a request.

Do not send passwords, MFA codes or payment card details in a contact message. If your concern relates to an external event or benefit purchase, the provider may need to address the information it holds directly.

Security and responsible sharing

Foundshore uses authenticated access, role-based permissions and access checks for protected operations. Security is a shared responsibility: keep credentials private, use the available account protections and tell us about suspected unauthorized access through the contact page. No online service can guarantee that every incident or disruption will be prevented.
